Clock Tray

Saturday, March 2nd 9:00am-12:00pm

Home Depot - St. Cloud, Monticello & Elk River locations

Together you and your timekeeper can build a freestanding clock with easy-to-read numbers, movable hands, and a storage tray to house reminders or important trinkets.

Once your clock is built, your child can customize it with paint and stickers.

All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times.

All kids get to keep their craft, received a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.

Herbology 101

Saturday, March 9th 11:00am-12:00pm

Cold Spring Public Library (27 Red River Ave S, Cold Spring, MN 56320)

Think you could pass Harry's Herbology Class? Join this lesson for team trivia, snacks, and a craft - making mandrakes! (Earmuffs not required.)

For ages 10 to 18. Preregistration required. Limit: 16.

Optimist Oratorical Contest

Saturday, March 23rd at 10:30am

St. Cloud Public Library (1300 W St Germain St, St Cloud, MN 56301)

The 4-5 minute speech topic is: "Is there a fine line between optimism and reality?"

Contestants must still be 19 years old as of October 1st, 2019. Contestants need to pre-register by March 18th.

Winners of the local contest will move on to the Optimist Zone 9 contest on Saturday, April 13th.

Students have an opportunity to win cash prizes on a local level of $200, $100, and $50. On the district level there are 2 - $2500 Scholarships. First place district winner goes onto a regional and possible world contest to win additional scholarships. Regional is $5000, world is $15,000, $10,000, and $5000.
