Big Brothers Big Sisters is in search of an Enrollment Coordinator. This position is vital in enrolling volunteer youth and adult mentors (Bigs); creating meaningful matches; and providing ongoing support and guidance to volunteer mentors to ensure our matches are safe and impactful. Be a trusted resource for mentors, kids (Littles), and families. Help kids establish a strong, positive relationship with a caring mentor. This position will also coordinate our Big Futures Initiative, integral college and career readiness opportunities and experiences provided to the youth in our program.
The Enrollment Coordinator will plan fun and educational workshops, events, and activities that empower youth to explore different career and post-secondary options, and plan for their futures.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required.
Starting Wage: $16.50 an hour (40 hours per week, non-exempt)

Volunteer Front Desk Assistant
Volunteer Front Desk Assistants (unpaid position) will assist Big Brothers Big Sisters staff in providing excellent customer service and reception at our front desk.

These internship opportunities allow you hands-on experience working in the human services field with a large focus on client and volunteer support and management. As an intern you would have the opportunity to observe interviews, match support calls & check-ins and annual match meetings. You would also be able to conduct reference calls and write assessments, learning to use your professional judgement.
You would be able to participate in staff and program meetings, while having the opportunity to work with other youth serving/non-profit agencies and area schools.
Majors in the Human Service field are preferred, such as Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Child and Family Studies, etc.

This internship would be strongly focused on preparing and implementing the groundwork for fundraising events. As an intern, you would work closely with the special events committee to plan, organize and create the event(s) as well as develop partnerships with businesses.
Other opportunities may include helping prepare for presentations to companies, data entry, attending committee meetings and networking events, and coordination of smaller projects.
All majors are considered for this internship, with an emphasis on business and/or marketing. The schedule can be flexible, however, approximately
15 - 20 hours a week is expected.
